I have now relocated to a town called Lismore. I am officially on my own and loving it that way :D
Before leaving Byron Bay I did get up to see the lighthouse. It was a steep hike up to the top of the hill but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I decided that it was time for a change and spent a day at Organic dreadlocks where Paul and Stefan added 16" dread extensions to my hair. I have hair again!
They were such wonderful guys to spend a day with and they did an amazing job. They showed me how to maintain my dreads and I even helped make a couple of them. The dread shed is located out of town and this is the amazing view from the balcony. The picture doesn't do it justice, it was stunning.
While in Lismore, I made friends with a local who showed me some of the Lookouts at night. The weather here has been unusually warm for winter. Last night was perfectly warm and still with gentle showers. I introduced my new friend to geocaching and we stayed out until 1a.m driving through the back country to find treasures. We went along the bank of a creek, visited a graveyard, trekked through mud, went through barbed-wire fence, and got bit by thorns. It was fantastic! Spending time in nature, at night, with good company looking for treasure is definitely at the top of my list for fun things to do. Here is a picture of our favourite cache that we found.
It's a long canister tied to a tree. This was Dan's first find so he got to keep the pirate's treasure which was inside of it.
The next treasure we found was a trackable! This one travelled all the way from Germany! I'm going to take it back to Perth with me so that it travels across Australia.
Feeling in much better spirits thanks to some good times in nature and even more so from the phone calls I've had with my amazing friends and family.
Love you guys! Thanks for the support and keep up with the blog comments. I love hearing from everyone :)
